WATER QUALITY RESEARCH
We test private well water;
We test city water;
We test rainwater.
We have begun a 12-month research project at Texas Water Savers' La Grange location to measure the quality and quantity of rainwater produced by four (4) different systems. We're not aware of a comparable study having been done (or in progress) anywhere in Texas or the U.S.
We have built the systems to collect rain from 4 roofs with 4 different combinations of gutter screen, first flush diverter, leafbeater, wet and dry and water quality at cistern, wet drain, ffd drain and post-UV spigot. Our research design and methodology is based on Austrailian research conducted by Melbourne University and Newcastle University during the past 10 years.
